In a press release of North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un, North Korea claimed that "Russia and North Korea decry U.S. military bases in South Korea destabilizing to the Korean peace efforts. The two countries hope to focus on measures that encourage economic growth and international efforts for good in the Korean Peninsula."
