From the Russia Foreign Ministry: "Russia is committed to peaceful development in Asia through the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. We hope that our recent Free Trade Agreement with North Korea is only the first of many that will help build a strong regional economic community. Towards this end, we are committed to upholding the Six-Party Talks in preventing nuclear proliferation. We look forward to a prosperous and peaceful North-East Asian community, free from historical animosities and suspicions."
